Greenfingers Appeal
Greenfingers, the charity of the gardening industry, celebrated its tenth birthday at the Awards Lunch.
Each table had envelopes, into which guests were asked to put a donation to Greenfingers. During the lunch, three names were drawn from the hat and each one won a bottle of champagne.
Richard Jackson, the Chairman of Greenfingers, says: “Thank you so much for everything you did at the wonderful Awards Lunch to support Greenfingers. I’m thrilled to say that we raised just over £2,000 on the day, plus we’ll be able to claim back an additional £450 in Gift Aid. So it really is a fantastic result and we’d like to thank everyone, the Guild members and their guests, for being so generous.
“May I also congratulate everyone on a superb Awards ceremony. The venue was perfect, the food excellent and it all ran very smoothly and happily. I thought it was the best yet, and so did a number of other people I spoke to.”
