Press Awards

Garden Publication of the YearGarden Publication of the Year

Winner: Garden News edited by Clare Foggett.

Judges' comments: Judging the diversity of styles and content presented us with a special challenge, but we found much to enjoy in the majority of the magazines, whatever their approach. We particularly warmed to titles that conveyed an infectious enthusiasm for gardening, and presented their content in an informative and interesting way. It is these qualities, in particular, which enabled us to reach a unanimous decision that this year's winner should be Garden News. Its pages were bursting with energy and crammed full of ideas for the front and kitchen/back garden. There was much here for both the experienced gardener and beginner, plus plenty of reader input. Features on designer and celebrity gardens were also there to be enjoyed.

Finalists:

Garden Answers edited by Geoff Stebbings.

Garden Design Journal edited by Jackie Bennett.

Gardens Illustrated edited by Juliet Roberts.

Kitchen Garden edited by Steve Ott.
