Membership Rates 2008/2009

Fees are renewed every July.

There are five categories of membership:

Full Member £55 per annum (now incorporating Overseas Members at the same level of subscription). This price includes a copy of the Yearbook.
Full membership of the Guild is open to those who earn a significant part of their income from communicating information on the subject of gardening.

Associate Member £75 per annum. This price does not include a copy of the Yearbook, but these can be bought by Associate Members at the reduced price of £75 - a saving of £75 on the normal price; prices for further copies of the Yearbook are available from the Guild.
Associate membership is offered to those whose professional remit includes the public relations or publishing of gardening material.

Retired Member £18 per annum. This price includes a copy of the Yearbook.

Probationary Member. This may, at the discretion of the Committee, be offered to new starters in the profession, who have shown meritorious work, but who remain unpublished. Probationer members are allocated a full member to help them in their aim to gain full membership.
This category is available to up to 10 percent of the overall membership at any point in time. Probationary membership is offered for a maximum of two years. The subscription rate for a Probationary Member is set at 75 percent of that of full membership. Membership price includes a copy of the Yearbook.

Honorary Member. Offered to all those who win the Lifetime Achievement Award and others at the discretion of the Committee.

* In addition to the above sums there is also a one-off joining fee of £10, payable with the first subscription at the time of application.
All payments to be received by the Guild in £ sterling only, with cheques made payable to 'The Garden Media Guild'.

Garden Photographers' Association

This group looks after the interests of all member photographers. It is open to all photographers who are Guild members, subject to an additional subscription of £25 per annum (see seperate application form to be completed in addition to the GMG application form).
