I am a garden writer and photographer, sharing garden stories and images on my Tea Break Gardener blog. An amateur gardener, I grow a wide range of fruit, vegetables, cut flowers, alpines and greenhouse ornamentals in my Chiltern Hills garden. As a self-taught but passionate gardener, I understand what questions people have when trying new things in the garden, and how to write in a way that will encourage them to try. I am also a diarist for the Alpine Garden Society, aiming to broaden the appeal of alpines and to coax people into growing them for the first time. I am available for talks to clubs and gardening societies on a range of subjects of interest to the amateur gardener including: - Sweet peas in the garden and allotment - Gardens of Japan - Using your greenhouse in all seasons - Gardening on the web - How to grow and arrange dahlias
I have a background in Urban Regeneration and am a volunteer for a local hospice charity.
