Maureen's horticultural education started at an early age on her father's nursery in Sussex. Her love of all things horticultural grew to the extent that she found herself owning and running a plant centre specialising in bee-friendly plants, as well as writing a number of books on the subject. She has given up the plant centre and is now semi-retired, preferring to take a back-seat from hands-on gardening to concentrate on writing and developing garden-themed 'slow stitching' kits.
Maureen has her own weekly classical music show, and a monthly gardening slot on her local radio, RibbleFM. She is also a qualified Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Educator.
