GMG visit to Yeo Valley Organic Farm and Gardens near Bristol
We are delighted to tell you that we have lined up an action-packed visit to the Yeo Valley organic garden and HQ near Bristol on Monday, 24th May, a trip which had to be postponed last year.
As well as the organic dairy farm which produces the famous Yeo Valley yoghurt, milk, cream, butter and ice cream, there is a six-and-a-half-acre organic garden which has been evolving for the past 19 years and is planted with ornamental and edible plants. In May it will be a tapestry of colour and buzzing with insects.
Our visit will start at 10.30am and will be followed by a garden tour. We will be treated to a light lunch in the Yeo Valley cafe, which they are generously providing for us. In the afternoon there will be a cookery demo with chef Paul Collins. Our visit will end with wine and nibbles and a visit to the staff shop (bring a cool bag!) During out visit we will also get a chance to find out about Yeo Valley's garden for this year's Chelsea Flower Show, which is being designed by Tom Massey.
We expect this visit to be very popular so it will not be possible to bring guests. As always the visit is free to GMG members and there are no restrictions on photography. To apply for your place, please email firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday, 23rd April. Places will be allocated at random rather than on a first come first served basis.
