DESCRIPTION:GMG members are invited to an exclusive day at the inspirational home of ecological and sustainable gardening, Beth Chatto’s Plants and Gardens. The day will consist of welcome refreshments and a light lunch, garden tours a visit to Beth’s home, and a look into the peat free and ecological world of propagation at Beth Chatto, with members split into small groups for each activity there will be plenty of opportunities for questions and answers.\n\nItinerary:\n10.00       Meet for tea and coffee.\n10.30       Welcome by Julia Boulton then tour of:\n\nBeth’s HouseBehind the scenes Propagation / StockbedsGarden 1 Gravel and WaterGarden 2 Wood, Scree and Reservoir12:00       Break for lunch\n13:00       Tour continues\n14:30       Tea, coffee and cake\n15:00       Nursery and garden open to view.\n17:00       Garden closes\n\nTraveling by train:  The following information has been taken from the Beth Chatto website:\n\nColchester has two train stations, North Station and Colchester Town.  Colchester Town station is in the centre of town and near the bus station.  North Station is over a mile north of the town centre and would require another bus to reach the town centre but does have a taxi rank just outside if you would prefer to continue your journey by car. Regular trains to North Station run from London Liverpool Street, Ipswich, Clacton on Sea and Norwich. Trains to Colchester Town are less frequent and may require you to change at North Station. Journey time to Colchester Town from London Liverpool Street is approximately 90 minutes.\n\nCar Share:      Car shares could be available upon request.\n\nParking:          Main car park\n                         Disabled parking available\n\n
