HOW TO ENTER

Please ensure you read the below steps before submitting your entry.

1. Read the ‘General Rules for Entry’.

2. Go to the ‘Categories and Enter - GMG Awards 2025’ page of the Garden Media Guild website.

3. Select ‘Submit an Entry’ under the category you wish to enter.

4. Read the submission information for that category and click ‘Submit and Entry’.

5. You will be asked to log in at this stage if you aren’t already. If you don’t yet have an account, you will be asked to create one.

6. Non-members will be asked to choose whether they are entering for themselves. If they are not, they must select whether they are entering for a member or a non-member. This is important as this will determine whether the entry is paid for or not. You can check whether someone is a member of the GMG by using the ‘Member Search’ option on the GMG website.

7. Ensure all asterisked sections are filled in correctly.

8. You can save and exit at any time to go back to your entry at your own convenience.

9. If a substantial part of your entry has been created using AI, you must inform us when submitting your entry.

10. Once submitted you will receive a confirmation email with your unique entry reference. Please use this in all correspondence regarding your entry.

11. If a payment is due, you will be prompted to use a debit/credit card to complete the transaction. For the entry to be accepted, this must be completed before the deadline date of 28th August 2025.

  • If your organisation needs to pay by BACS transfer, please ensure you contact admin@gardenmediaguild.co.uk with your unique entry reference, and purchase order number if required, in plenty of time to complete the transaction before the payment deadline. Following receipt of this email an invoice will be emailed to you.

12. All entry submissions for categories 1, 2, 3, 9, 11, 13, 14, & 15, where material is not uploaded with the entry form, must be received by Thursday, 4th September 2025.

  • Hard copies are to be sent to Garden Media Guild Award Entries, Katepwa House, Ashfield Park Avenue, Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, HR9 5AX.
  • Please upload electronic submissions to the GMG Dropbox link which will be provided on the entry form.

After Your Entry is Complete

Your entry will be checked by administration, and you will only be contacted if there are any issues with what you have submitted. Once your entry has been checked, your status will change to 'Under Review', this is the final status update and means that your entry will be submitted to the judges during the week commencing 8th September 2025. You can check the status of your entry, and view what you’ve submitted by logging in to the GMG website and going to ‘My Awards Entries’.

General Rules for Entry

Please make sure you have read the "General Rules for Entry: Awards 2025", so you are totally aware of the rules, regulations and procedures.

Multiple entries by the same entrant in the same category are not allowed. The rule is one entry per person per category.

Entry Forms

All entry forms can be accessed via the ‘Enter the GMG Awards 2025’ page of the Garden Media Guild website.

Entry Fees

Garden Media Guild members may enter their own work free of charge. Non-members, such as editors or publishers, may also enter the work of GMG members free of charge. See "General Rules of Entry: Awards 2025" for further clarification.

Entries by non-Garden Media Guild members must be accompanied by an entry fee of:

  • £60 for books
  • £45 for all other categories
  • "The Alan Titchmarsh New Talent" is free of charge.

Key Dates and Deadlines

  • Awards open for entries:  Friday, 20th June 2025.
  • Entry form and payment deadline:  Thursday, 28th August 2025.
  • Entry submissions deadline:  Thursday, 4th September 2025.
  • GMG Awards Ceremony:  Friday, 21st November 2025.
