Open to publications and editorial content produced by the horticultural press, trade bodies, membership organisations, professional institutes, charities, associations or industry representative organisations operating within gardening and horticulture.
The intended audience for the content should be a defined professional, trade, specialist or membership audience connected to professional gardening or horticulture. For example, the audience for GMG News is the GMG’s membership.
Eligible entries may include print or digital magazines, journals, newsletters, or editorial websites produced for a defined professional, trade or membership audience.
Entries should demonstrate consistent editorial quality, relevance to their audience, and a meaningful contribution to horticultural knowledge, professional practice, member engagement or industry understanding.
Entrants should submit up to three examples or editions published during the eligibility period, together with a supporting statement explaining the publication’s purpose, audience, editorial approach and impact.
NOTE:
- If your publication is published once or twice a year, please submit all editions released during the eligibility period.
- If your publication is released more than twice a year, please submit up to three representative editions.
- If your publication is a regularly updated website, please submit the full web address (ensuring it can be publicly accessed). If there are specific pieces of content you would like to highlight, you can link up to three.
- To qualify for free entry, either the editor or publisher submitting the entry must be a GMG member or the organisation must hold an associate membership with a nominated representative.
This entry form must be complete by Thursday, 27 August 2026 and any hard copies of the nominated publication must arrive before Thursday, 3 September 2026.
Hard copies can be sent via post to Garden Media Guild Award Entries, Katepwa House, Ashfield Park Avenue, Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, HR9 5AX.
- Judges will need three copies of each submitted publication
- Please ensure the parcel clearly states your Unique Entry Reference.
For online-only publications, please include the direct URL of the publication in your application form. Where direct URLs are not available without a paywall, please provide a code for judges to access the content without a fee or provide a print or PDF version. For upload to the website, total PDF size cannot exceed 25mb.
