With award-winning writer Matt Collins and Thomas Rutter, his co-author on Lonely Planet – The Tree Atlas. Matt Collins is head gardener of the Garden Museum, London and Thomas Rutter is a horticulturalist and garden writer.
Matt Collins won GMG Garden Writer of the Year in 2023. He is a garden, landscape and travel writer, and Head Gardener at the Garden Museum in London.
Trained at the Botanic Garden of Wales, Matt contributes articles and essays for publications including The Guardian, Spectator, The Times, RHS's The Garden, Hortus, Daily Telegraph and Gardens Illustrated. Matt has several books published internationally by Pavilion Books.
Thomas Rutter is content editor (gardens) for Homes & Gardens. He is a landscaper and professional gardener, and has written for Bloom, Gardens Illustrated, Hortus, Rakes Progress and more. Lonely Planet – The Tree Atlas is his first gardening book.
The Tree Atlas by Lonely Planet reveals 50 of the world's most amazing trees and the best places in the world to see them in their magnificence.
Join us on Feb 4th to ask Matt and Thomas anything about how they write books, how they wrote the Tree Atlas together and how they combine gardening and media careers. You can send questions in advance to admin@gardenmediaguild.co.uk but the ‘Ask Me Anythings’ have a relaxed, chatty atmosphere so it’s easy to ask questions during the webinar.
