Speaking, Hosting & Holding the Mic at Garden Events
Wednesday 25th March 2026, 6.30pm on Zoom
If you’ve ever wondered how garden speakers land event work — or what really goes on behind the scenes — this upcoming GMG webinar is for you.
We’re bringing together three Garden Media Guild members who regularly speak at shows, host stages, interview experts and manage live demonstrations at garden events across the UK.
They’ll share honest, practical insight into:
• How they got their first speaking or hosting opportunities
• What organisers are actually looking for
• Fees, expenses and freebies
• Preparation and dealing with audiences
• Helpful skills and experience
• How it fits alongside other garden media work
There’ll be plenty of time for questions, so bring yours along.
