Garden Media Guild Awards 2025

Now Open for Entry

The 2025 Garden Media Guild Awards are now open for entry and the closing date is August 28th. So if you’ve got holiday planned, now’s the time to get your entries in.

Enter Now!

Every year we tweak the Awards following members’ and judges’ feedback during and after the entry process, so read the category and entry instructions carefully.

This year we reflect changing watch patterns by re-launching both the TV and video categories. Instead of separate TV and Video awards, we now have the Gardening Documentary Feature of the Year for TV programmes and videos over 20 minutes long. Shorter videos and segments (3-20 minutes) of programmes can enter the Gardening Short TV Programme or Video of the Year.

Some people enter awards on a regular basis, treating the entry process as a valuable professional discipline in itself. Others think they aren’t good enough or that it’s not worth entering unless you’re likely to win.
But don’t rule yourself out. Enter your best work and let the judges decide!

And to maximise your chances of being short-listed, GMG members still have access to the recording of our ‘Entering Awards – Make the Most of Your Chances’ webinar with Dan Hatch. Sign in, go to the Members Area, then click on ‘GMG Webinar Recordings’.

Entries are free to members who have paid their annual subscriptions by July 1st. Non-members pay £45 per entry and £60 for the book entries to cover postage costs.

The Awards lunch is on Friday November 21nd at the Savoy Hotel in London, so put that in your diaries! Tickets will go on sale in September.

We wish you the best of luck and hope to see you at the Awards ceremony!

Don’t forget that you can also nominate others for an award. If there’s someone whose work you admire, check whether they are entering and if not, nominate them yourself (with their permission!)
