This award is for the best national or regional gardening magazine or supplement of a general interest publication, with a foundation of outstanding editorial and design plus a sure understanding of the needs of its audience.
For material published between Friday, 29th August 2025 and Thursday, 27th August 2026. Online magazines are eligible, defined by having a regular publication schedule, a commercial financial model, a specific audience and multiple contributors.
The winning publication will have a foundation of outstanding editorial and design, together with a sure understanding of the needs of its target audience.
The winning publication’s subject matter will be topical, seasonal and horticulturally accurate. The writing will be entertaining and the layouts will be well presented and easily navigable. Every aspect of the winning publication will be well executed, including its headlines and standfirsts, photography and picture captions as well as text. It will inspire and inform, reflect and keep abreast of trends and developments in the world of gardening.
Entry is open to all and is free to GMG members; a fee of £45 is applicable to non-member entrants (to cover postage/admin). To qualify for free entry, someone who worked on the entry must be a GMG member.
This entry form must be complete by Thursday, 27th August 2026 and hard copies of the nominated publication must arrive before Thursday, 3rd September 2026.
