Biography

I am a producer of gardening and food programmes who has been collecting, growing and sharing seed of endangered and culturally important crops for over thirty years. I am a board member of Garden Organic who writes, lectures and blogs on the conservation of the genetic diversity of edible crops and my life as a seed detective. Every year I grow up to 100 different varieties of vegetables from my library of some 500 both for the table and for seed. I have appeared on BBC's Gardeners World and CNN's Going Green. I give talks in person and via Zoom. My book 'The Seed Detective' will be published by Chelsea Green in September 2022. Details of my talks and ;latest news can be found on my website; http://theseeddetective.co.uk/talks
