Biography

Liz Ware is a freelance garden writer, historian and photographer. She initiated and runs not-for-profit project Silent Space. She writes on all aspects of gardening, gardens and landscapes. Her work has appeared in many publications including RHS The Garden, National Trust Magazine, and The English Garden. As a new graduate, Liz worked in the City and abroad before changing direction. She gained a First Class degree in the History of Art and Architecture and an MA in Garden History from Bristol University. Diplomas from The English Gardening School added to her knowledge of plants. Liz complete a three year term as a trustee of The Association of Gardens Trusts, and an additional three years on the management committee of the Landscape, Gardens and Health Network. She is a member of The Garden Media Guild and Professional Garden Photographers’ Association and has an allotment in South Oxfordshire.
