Biography

Dave is a Midlands-based garden and plant photographer with a bold, vibrant visual style. Long-standing interests in photography and gardening evolved into a mindful practice during his recovery from burnout, deepening his appreciation for the therapeutic power of nature. With a background in Geography and further study of climate and ESG risk, Dave is especially drawn to stories at the intersection of horticulture, sustainability, and wellbeing. He’s passionate about showcasing how garden design, planting choices, and low-impact practices - from peat-free growing to reducing plastics - can benefit both people and planet. Self-taught, and with over a decade of experience using DSLR and mirrorless systems, he brings strong technical skills and a keen eye for colour and form. Dave is available for editorial and commercial commissions and enjoys collaborating with designers, growers, makers, and organisations working across horticulture, sustainability, and green wellbeing.

Additional Interests

Outside of photography I enjoy music, playing drum kit and Brazilian percussion as well as cooking and baking.
