She is a Greenfingers ambassador and has gardened for the historic Middleton Hall & Gardens, Michelin-guide Boat Restaurant and Microfarm and award-winning garden company Lupin, all in the West Midlands. In 2025 she won a gold medal for her small show garden, After The End, at Gardener's World Live. Alex has recently written for the English Garden, Amateur Gardening, Birmingham Dispatch, Radicle, Horticulture Week, Garden Folk Magazine and Well+Good. She also edits the Lupin Mailer, a monthly newsletter for Lupin, a prestigious horticultural company in the West Midlands. She also writes a regular Substack, GROW. Alex holds an RHS Level 2 Diploma in Horticulture, and changed careers into the industry after almost two decades working in communications. As well as her Level 2, she also earned a Garden Design Certificate from Winterbourne Centre for Horticulture in 2023.
