Home Guild Members Susie Challen Specialities Writer: Consumer Magazines Susie Challen Full Member Biography Although Susie has always loved plants and garden design, having visited the Chelsea Flower Show since she was a teenager, it was only when she moved to Kent 14 years ago from a basement flat with a window box to a two-acre overgrown plot that she got the chance to get her hands properly dirty. Having the opportunity to create new spaces, grow plants and experiment has fuelled a passion for gardening, striving to create something productive as well as beautiful. More recently, Susie completed a garden design course and subsequently worked on several Chelsea Flower Show builds and gardens, as well opening for and helping with publicity for the National Garden Scheme in Kent. As the garden writer for Kent Life magazine, she hopes to share her passion for gardening as well as promote local gardens, gardeners and all those involved in the sector.
