Biography

Hi, I’m Andrea a professional photographer, trained in Germany before calling England my home more than 20 years ago. Plants and flowers became my subject matter after living as tenants in the middle of the most beautiful 18 acre garden in Somerset. Nature never ceases to astonish and inspire me and I like to think this is reflected in my portraits of plants, gardens and the people who work in them.

Additional Interests

3 years ago I became an allotmenteer to grow flowers away from the football frenzy that took place in my garden at home. The side effects of having an allotment are enormous: the wellbeing aspect of working the land in this peaceful setting amongst others, developing a new found respect for professional growers and documenting the change of the tapestry of allotments through the seasons.
