Rescheduled for 2021
We are delighted to tell you that we have lined up a really action-packed visit to the Yeo Valley organic garden and HQ near Bristol on Monday, May 4 (which is NOT a Bank Holiday - the May BH this year is on Friday, May 8).
As well as the organic dairy farm which produces the famous Yeo Valley yoghurt, milk, cream, butter and ice cream, there is a six-and-a-half-acre organic garden which has been evolving for the past 18 years and is planted with ornamental and edible plants. In May it will be a tapestry of colour and buzzing with insects.
Here are the timings for the visit:
10.30am Arrival - welcome tea/coffee
11.00am Garden Tour with Sarah, head of Yeo Valley's welcome committee, and head gardener Andi.
1.15pm Lunch in HQ Canteen, generously provided by Yeo Valley.
2.15pm A cookery demo with Yeo’s food ambassador, Paul Collins.
3.30pm Meet Jules, Yeo’s Social Media Guru, for a session on social media and how to get the best out of it.
4.00pm Wine and nibbles (on the balcony!), Q&A with Sarah. Visit the staff shop where you can buy discounted goodies (so bring a coolbag).
5.00pm We leave Yeo Valley.
We expect this visit to be very popular so it will not be possible to bring guests. As always the visit is free to GMG members and there are no restrictions on photography. To apply for your place, please email gmggardenvisits@gmail.com by Friday, January 24. Places will be allocated at random rather than on a first come first served basis.
