Joff Elphick HND Horticulture - Pershore

Full Member

Biography

As a student Joff worked for Mary Keen while studying horticulture at Pershore under Chris Beardshaw. He also worked for Henry Robinson at his national Collection of Rambling Roses in Gloucestershire. He went on to work at Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons, The National Trust Gardens Department, as Assistant Head Gardener at Rosemary Verey's Barnsley House, Estate Manager on the private estate of Sir Chris and Lady Evans, and Head Gardener at award winning cookery school and country estate 'Thyme'. He now looks after three gardens in the cotswolds and is the host of Pot and Cloche Garden Podcasts. He also writes a weekly blog and produces videos for a Genus Performance Garden Wear. Thinking of starting a podcast? He'd love to talk. Joff also gives interesting multi-media talks about his work as a professional gardener.

Additional Interests

Joff's involvement in podcasting stems from his interest in wildlife sound recording and his time spent on local radio. He loves natural history, is a keen moth trapper, and enjoys angling. He enjoys boating on the upper Thames and lives in Cirencester with his three children and wife, artist Tracey Elphick.
