Probationary Member

Biography

Joanne is a floral designer, teacher, mentor & podcaster. Her designs are natural with a garden inspired feel. She adores working with colour to create tonal, harmonious pallets within her designs, which she prides herself on. Passionate about sustainability, all of her work is foam free, created using sustainable mechanics only. Joanne also likes to work with local growers as much as possible within her work. She teaches various masterclasses throughout the year for both new and experienced florists as well as flower enthusiasts. Joanne's work is very much guided by the seasons. Embracing the beauty within the natural landscape and capturing these moments within her designs.

Additional Interests

Joanne enjoys photographing her work as much as creating the design itself sometimes! She undertook a photography for florists course some years ago which was a complete game changer for her! Always taking photos of flowers when visiting gardens, she also loves being outside with nature & enjoys going on long walks. More recently becoming a keen gardener she started to grow her own flowers from seed. Seeing the different stages each flower goes through from seed to the point of blooming has given her an even deeper appreciation for mother nature.
