Biography

My passion and drive revolve around horticulture, farming and food, of which all three are linked. I’m a champion for school gardening and advocate the benefit of gardening towards helping the climate emergency and also the meatal health problem, which is having a detrimental impact on our society today more than ever. Having worked in public relations and media industry for over 15 years my latest project has been raising the profile and creating content for the award-winning Ocean Plastic Pots as well as Kilduff Farm, encouraging more of us to eat what we can grow from home. I host the award-winning podcast Grow Cook Inspire, now in its fifth series interviewing a wide range of people in the world of food and gardening. The aim is to encourage more of us to grow and cook seasonally whether we’re five or 85. My debut book, which goes by the same title, will be published later this year. A project I’m working on with illustrator Ruth Craddock and author, doctor, and Great British Bake-Off finalist James Morton. It’s a companion for parents to make growing and cooking more accessible, looking at the mental health benefits gardening and cooking can bring to so many, something I myself have benefitted from first hand.
