Biography
Middle life crises hit me hard when I was an academic and writer in London, and I went back to my origins…
And I remembered that I spent my childhood in my little plot of land (a present from my Grandfather), digging and growing and experimenting with unusual plants for the time…
So, I left the city, my job, my home and I spent three years gardening and farming on organic farms and eco-projects, in Southern Europe…
And then I “went back to school”, studying permaculture (with Bill Mollinson and Geoff Lawton), organic gardening and garden design. So, now I am writing about it, in books, magazines and online…
Additional Interests
Permaculture, regenerative agriculture, synergistc gardening, history of gardening, foraging, wildflowers and plants, botany, ecology, art, literature, music, history and philosophy.
One day, I would love to start a communal eco-project.
