Biography

Photographer; photo collection; lecturer. Garden, lifestyle and travel photography. PGP photographer. GMG Vice President. Michael's career in horticulture began in the 1960's as Assistant to the Horticultural Adviser at Pan Britannica Industries. In the late 1960s he moved to Fisons Ltd at Chesterford Park in Essex, as Information Manager. A variety of information and computer systems-related posts followed culminating with the development of a documentation system to provide digital Regulatory Affairs documents worldwide, for Hoechst AG. He has always been interested in horticultural photography and supplies such images through stock agencies. His photography primarily deals with practical horticulture. He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Horticulture and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals. He was Honorary Secretary of the Guild from the early 2000's until 2019 and is currently Vice President.
