Biography
I’m a British flower, garden, and nature photographer, writer, and educator based in Kent, England. My work focuses on macro and close-up photography of flowers, plants, and insects, capturing fine detail, soft backgrounds, and natural light. I photograph mainly in my own garden and heritage gardens across the UK, highlighting seasonal change and pollinators. Alongside my photographic work, I teach through workshops, webinars, lectures, and one-to-one tuition. My book *Creative Flower and Plant Photography* (2022) offers guidance for photographers at all levels. I’ve been honoured with multiple national and international awards, including Portfolio Photographer of the Year (2022 and 2023, Garden Media Guild), RHS Photography Competition winner (Plants category, 2021), and top honours from the Guild of Photographers and the Society of Photographers. I’ve also received many awards in the International Garden Photographer of the Year and Close-Up Photographer of the Year competitions.
