Danica Walpole

Probationary Member

Biography

DW tells the story of her semi-rural garden through the seasons, the good bits and the soggy bits. She grows food and flowers, shares real progress whatever the weather, and finds joy in the small routines that keep her grounded. With her ducks outside and Pudding, her very much indoor cat, supervising from the window, her content mixes proper growing know-how with a bit of glamour, a lot of honesty and plenty of laughs. She wants people to feel they can grow in a way that suits their own space and lifestyle. DW has worked with garden brands and is building an engaged community across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. A GMG member with RHS press accreditation, she’s passionate about making gardening a place where everyone feels they belong. She’s keen to contribute to garden media in all forms, from talks and features to television and publishing.

Additional Interests

Outside the garden, DW is happiest exploring, whether that’s a coastal walk, a woodland she’s never set foot in or a nose around someone else’s garden. She’s just as drawn to people, and loves the connections gardening opens up. She has a habit of saying yes to new things, which is how she’s ended up attempting salsa and lindy hop with unrivalled enthusiasm. Back home, there’s usually something fermenting on the side and a sourdough on the go. All of it finds its way into her storytelling sooner or later.
