Biography

My first book The Little Grower's Cookbook www.lettucepublishing.com, was published in March 2021, we were shortlisted for the GMA Garden Book of the Year 2021. I established Lettuce Publishing Ltd in 2021. I run Grow Your Own workshops from my home regularly and I travel to other venues to do talks and workshops. I mainly teach growing from seed and showing peopIe that it doesn't have to cost the earth to grow fruit and veg. I was asked by Alitex to style a greenhouse using my sustainable growing and planting ideas for their RHS Chelsea Flower Show stand in September 2021, it featured a grow your own walking stick, a luffa and a home grown birdhouse amongst other fun simple and exotic ideas. Alitex asked me back to help create their stand this May, 2023, the theme was sustainable gardening, growing your own and showing how two greenhouses, one of which was off grid, can help explore your own growing potential. We were thrilled to be awarded Best Tradestand by the RHS. Recently I appeared on Sarah Raven's podcast Grow, Cook, Eat, Arrange, episode 93 and also on BBC Radio Devon talking about my own gardening journey and The Little Grower's Cookbook. I am also a regular contributor to BBC Radio Sussex & Surrey, The Dig It Show, once a month I chat and answer fruit and veg questions as their Vegetable Correspondant. I co-host Two Good Gardeners podcast with Dan Cooper. Sponsored by Alitex it is a podcast for everyone who wants to enjoy growing their own flowers, fruit and vegetables.
