Biography

Having initially trained as a journalist, I have 30+ years of PR experience in agency, in-house and for the last 20 years running my own business as a freelance PR consultant, with a particular specialism in the gardening and horticultural sector. For the last 17 years, I have worked with several leading garden designers including designer and broadcaster Chris Beardshaw. I have also developed a niche and expert PR service for designers, nurseries, charities and sponsors at RHS Chelsea Flower Show, including working for 5 years as a horticultural media consultant for Morgan Stanley's 5 Show Gardens. I have had the pleasure of working closely with clients across a wide range of gardening business sectors including, plant fairs, plant nurseries, gardening charities, gardening apps, natural swimming pools designers and landscapers. I also provide PR support for several of publisher DK's leading gardening titles.

Additional Interests

Outside of my work, I am a chronic plantaholic and love to garden and also visit gorgeous gardens for inspiration when I can. I also enjoying walking, in particular in the fells and peaks of the beautiful Peak District around where I live. I love to dance at any opportunity and I am a life-long Manchester Utd fan.
