Biography

Former Head of Education at Chelsea Physic Garden and expert educator and author, Michael Holland, FLS is on a mission to educate and inspire people from all walks of life about the vital and numerous roles plants play in our daily lives - via talks, walks, workshops, podcasts and articles. His books 'I Ate Sunshine For Breakfast', 'The Little Gardener's Handbook' and 'A Jungle In Your Livingroom' aim to inspire a new generation of plant lovers and horticulturists via amazing facts, beautiful illustrations and practical activities. He has written articles for 'Simply Beautiful Gardens Magazine' on wellbeing, Oriental gardens, Urban Gardening and engaging young people with nature and has written for BBC Gardener's World online Magazine and is on the RHS Education Committee. He has a substantial and engaging repertoire of illustrated talks which can be given remotely or in person.
