Biography
Vice Chair of the Garden Media Guild, Co-Editor of the GMG E-Bulletin and Co-ordinator of the Guild's annual Awards. A former student of the Royal Horticultural Society and the Open University, I've combined my love of horticulture with storytelling to build a career centred on gardens and the people behind them.
Through writing, digital media and live interviews, I share the stories of garden designers, growers, nurseries, authors and other horticultural professionals, celebrating the people and places that make the gardening world so inspiring. Alongside my media work, I project manage charity show gardens, bringing together volunteers, suppliers and sponsors to turn ideas into reality.
Whether I'm visiting a show garden, interviewing an industry expert or uncovering a hidden gem, my aim is to encourage more people to discover and enjoy gardens through engaging, accessible storytelling.
Additional Interests
After being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2008, I discovered the restorative benefits of gardens and nature, inspiring a growing passion for accessibility and inclusive garden experiences. I volunteer at The World Garden at Lullingstone Castle in Kent, supporting nursery sales from the Potting Shed and sharing the garden through my social media. I'm also a volunteer with Bankside Open Spaces Trust, where I support the Future Gardeners project, encouraging the next generation to develop practical horticultural skills. I enjoy exploring gardens, uncovering hidden gems and celebrating the people who make horticulture such a welcoming community.
