Her love of all things horticultural grew to the extent that, after working as a professional garden designer, she owned and ran a plant centre specialising in pollinator-friendly plants. She has written six books, her latest – The Little Book of Plants for Pollinators: A Gardener's Guide – was published in May 2023. In addition, Maureen has written for a number of magazines and journals, including The English Garden, Garden Design Journal, The Herb Society Journal, and Home Farmer. Maureen is a sought-after speaker and has delivered papers and talks to a number of societies and groups, among them RHS Garden Wisley, The Garden Museum London, The Herb Society, and many Gardening Clubs and Societies. Maureen has now retired from the plant centre preferring to concentrate on garden writing and giving talks. Additional Interests Maureen is also a qualified Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Educator and writes occasional columns for a wine magazine.
