Biography

Garden and nature writer. Guardian Country Diarist. Writer and editor for BBC Gardeners' World Magazine. Contributor to Moving Mountains, edited by Louise Kenward (2023) and Women on Nature, edited by Katharine Norbury (2021). Features in Gardeners' World Magazine, RHS The Garden, The English Garden, Small Woods Magazine and RSPB website. Longlist for 2023 Nan Shepherd Prize for underrepresented nature writers. Curator of UK Peat Free Nurseries List. Spread the Word Life Writing Prize longlist 2021. Finalist in 2021 GMG Social Media Influencer of the Year (as part of Peat Free April team), 2019 GMG Environmental Award and 2018/2017 GMG Blog of the Year Award. Background includes Advanced Diploma in Garden Design and RHS level 2 qualifications with commendation, MA in English with distinction (focusing on links between literature and science), Diploma in Creative Non-Fiction.
