Biography

Principal designer at Green Zone Design Ltd, Midhurst. Landscape Engineering and construction consultant Paul is a Fellow of the Society of Garden Designers(SGD) and previous Chair of their Adjudication process. He trained and worked as an industrial designer and engineer before falling into garden design and journalism and has been digging ever since. As well as designing gardens for private and commercial clients, he lectures at several Colleges and Diploma courses on Garden Design, and is a SketchUp (3D-CAD) evangelist running regular classes to all levels. Paul wrote and illustrated the longest running column on garden and landscape construction detailing, which is currently being edited for book release. He has also authored and illustrated two books: Construction Detailing for Landscape and Garden Design Vol1: Surfaces Steps & Margins; and Construction Detailing for Landscape and Garden Design Vol2: Water features for small gardens
