Biography

Neil is garden expert & co-presenter of 'The Grow Show' every Sunday at 9 a.m. across BBC Yorkshire Radio & BBC Sounds. Neil's passion is to see people learn & explore the ways to make their gardens, growing easier. Neil founded 'National Children's Gardening Week' in 2015 every summer half term, to enable children to garden & grow plants in a week when most plants will thrive in the UK. Neil is currently a board member of the Horticultural Trades Association and has represented the region with the Garden Centre Association as well as the HTA. Neil is Chair of the HTA Retail Committee, who recently launched 'Your Garden Year' campaign to show less knowledgeable gardeners simple projects throughout the year. Neil trained at Writtle Agricultural College attaining Distinction at Commercial Horticulture HND. Neil has over 40 years of experience in garden centre retailing.
