Nic Wilson

I am a freelance writer and editor for Gardeners' World Magazine. I write digital content for horticultural websites, including Candide and Thompson & Morgan. I also write a popular gardening blog and I was a finalist in the 2018 and 2017 Garden Media Guild Blog of the Year Award. I have contributed nature writing pieces to the Back from the Brink conservation project and have upcoming pieces in the John Clare Journal and the Arts and Humanities Research Council-funded nature writing project, Land Lines. My background includes an Advanced Diploma in Garden Design and RHS level 2 qualifications with commendation. I also have an MA in English, focusing on links between literature and science, and 12 years A Level teaching/examining experience. I design gardens for commercial and private properties in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire. Most of my work is based in private gardens that combine ornamental and edible planting to create relaxing, multi-functional family spaces. I enjoy creating sustainable gardens, designed to minimise impact on the environment and to attract wildlife.
