GMG Podcast/Radio Broadcast of the Year Winner - 2019. Sarah hosts and produces the weekly podcast, Roots and All. The podcast educates listeners about everything related to green spaces, indoors and out. The podcast is supported by a blog. Through the podcast, Sarah has quickly gained a reputation for integrity and independent journalism and has grown a loyal audience. She is a confident public speaker and chair for panel discussions at larger industry events and also speaks to smaller horticultural societies. Sarah is an award winning garden designer with a passion for plants and wildlife gardening. Sarah designs gardens in the UK and internationally and has won two RHS Flower Show Medals, including Gold at Hampton Court. She is a graduate of the prestigious London College of Garden Design and since graduation, has worked on public and private gardens, plus public space installations such as an indoor garden in London Bridge Station. She designs for both interior and exterior green spaces. She co-founded a successful boutique garden shop in East Sussex in 2016 and has experience of the retail horticulture sector. In addition to blogging, podcasting, writing and teaching, Sarah works on a voluntary basis for a charity providing horticultural therapy to veterans, advising on course content and site management. She is qualified to RHS Levels 2 & 3. Her varied work experience is always underpinned by the values most important to her; wildlife gardening, sustainability, ecology, wellbeing and community gardening and food growing.
