Biography
Annabelle is the super passionate Founder of Life at No.27, a gardening and wellbeing therapy organisation which supports children and adults who are experiencing mental ill health, isolation, and/or learning, social or emotional difficulties. She is a wellbeing therapist and gardener, as well as a children's gardening author, and columnist for Kitchen Garden magazine. Using her unique fun, yet honest and open approach to promote the power of growing your own food, therapeutic conversation and positive wellbeing for all ages.
Her first interactive gardening reference book for children titled 'YOU CAN grow your own food', went straight to No.1 in the Hot Release chart on Amazon in March 2020 and was published in 2020 by HarperCollins.
Annabelle delivers talks and workshops at gardening events and clubs around the UK, including RHS shows and Glee Birmingham.
Additional Interests
Annabelle is trained in psychology, counselling, social and therapeutic horticulture, plus is a qualified mental and physical health first aider.
In early 2023, The Prince and Princess of Wales announced their support of Annabelle's work and her organisation. Shortly after in June 2023, Annabelle was invited to give evidence to the House of Lords, Horticultural Sector Committee on the current landscape surrounding horticulture and mental health.
